The rapid progression in Camera and CCTV technology has left the physical infrastructure, such as enclosures, appearing outdated. Many installers struggle with standard electrical boxes to create a mounting and connection configuration that meets standards. Allbro has addressed this issue by introducing the first of its kind camera enclosure. Developed and manufactured in South Africa, the Camera-Nest (Patent Pending) tackles the specific challenges of this application in an unprecedented way.

Upon first seeing Allbro's innovative “Camera Nest,” it’s hard to refer to this creation simply as a camera box. The initial notable difference lies in the installation method of the “box. ” A compact mounting bracket can be conveniently fitted using two screws.

The camera is attached to the “Camera Nest,” and then the full assembly is secured to the bracket with a single screw. An open connection housing located on the side provides access for cabling and allows for camera testing while it is still installed. This presents numerous benefits, with the main one being that a test harness can be utilized to properly align the camera since the leads are easily reachable.

The Camera Nest is NOT constructed from plastic. Instead, GRP is the material that Allbro has relied on for the past 40 years. This resin-based fiberglass substance endures for decades under direct exposure and can outlast several generations of cameras. With an IP rating of IP66, the enclosure effectively prevents dust and water ingress. The mounting method ensures that this IP rating remains intact even while securing the screws. Allbro asserts that this concept is a revolutionary idea that will significantly alter the way cameras are installed.
