Swift improvements in Camera and CCTV technology have left the physical support structures, like enclosures, seeming outdated. Many installers are forced to use general electrical boxes in their attempts to set up a decent mounting and connection system. Allbro has addressed this issue by introducing a groundbreaking camera enclosure.
Crafted and designed in South Africa, the Camera-Nest (Patent Pending) tackles specific challenges of this application in a completely innovative way.
Upon seeing Allbro’s new “Camera Nest,” it becomes challenging to simply label it as a camera box. The first significant distinction lies in how the installer interacts with this “box. ” A small mounting bracket can be easily attached with just two screws.
After the camera is affixed to the “Camera Nest,” the complete setup is secured to the bracket using one screw. The open connection housing located on the side allows access for cabling and facilitates testing while the camera remains mounted. This feature offers numerous benefits, the main one being that a test harness can assist in aligning the camera since the leads are still reachable.
Camera Nest is constructed from materials other than plastic. For 40 years, Allbro has utilized GRP, a fiberglass resin material known for its durability. It endures for decades even with direct exposure and will outlast several generations of cameras. With an IP66 rating, the enclosure effectively keeps out dust and water. The manner in which the unit is installed ensures that this IP rating remains intact during screw placements. Allbro considers this concept a revolutionary advancement that will transform camera installation practices forever.
