The rapid evolution of Camera and CCTV technology has left the supporting infrastructure, such as enclosures, feeling outdated. Installers often have to work with standard electrical boxes to create a respectable mounting and connection setup. Allbro has tackled this issue by introducing the first of its kind camera enclosure. Produced in South Africa, the Camera-Nest (Patent Pending) effectively addresses the specific challenges of this application in an unprecedented way.
Upon seeing Allbro's innovative “Camera Nest,” it becomes hard to still refer to it as just a camera box. The first notable change is how installers interact with the “box. ” A small mounting bracket can be quickly secured with two screws.
The camera attaches to the “Camera Nest” and the whole assembly is then secured to the bracket with a single screw. The open connection housing on the side allows for cabling and testing while the camera is installed. This feature offers numerous benefits, with the primary one being that a test harness can align the camera since the leads remain reachable.
The Camera Nest is NOT constructed from plastic. Allbro has been using GRP, a resin-based fiberglass material, for 40 years. This sturdy material can withstand decades of direct exposure and will serve multiple generations of cameras. The enclosure has an IP rating of IP66, ensuring that it keeps out dust and water. The mounting method ensures that this IP rating remains intact during screw installation. Allbro believes this concept is a revolutionary development that will transform camera installations forever.
