The rapid progress in Camera / CCTV technology has made the existing physical structures, like enclosures, feel outdated. Many installers find themselves struggling with standard electrical boxes while trying to create a suitable mounting and connection setup. Allbro has tackled this issue with the introduction of the first-ever camera enclosure of its kind. Developed and manufactured in South Africa, the Camera-Nest (Patent Pending) meets the specific needs of this application in a way that has not been achieved before.

Upon seeing Allbro’s new “Camera Nest,” one might hesitate to call this new creation just a camera box. A significant initial difference is how the installer interacts with the “box. ” A small mounting bracket requires just two screws for installation.

The camera attaches to the “Camera Nest,” and then the whole unit is secured to the bracket with a single screw. The connection housing on the side is accessible for cables and testing while the camera remains in place. This setup offers numerous benefits, with the main one being that a test harness can be utilized to position the camera as the leads remain reachable.

Camera Nest is NOT constructed from plastic. Allbro has utilized GRP material for 40 years. This resin-based fiberglass is durable enough to endure years of direct exposure and can accommodate several generations of cameras. The enclosure has an IP rating of IP66, meaning it effectively keeps out dust and water. The design of the unit's mounting ensures that this IP rating remains intact even when screws are installed. Allbro views this idea as a revolutionary development that will transform camera installations forever.
