The rapid development in Camera and CCTV technology has rendered traditional physical support tools, such as enclosures, outdated. Many installers struggle with standard electrical boxes to create a connection and mounting system that looks decent. Allbro has addressed this issue by introducing the first-ever camera enclosure of its kind. Crafted and designed in South Africa, the Camera-Nest (Patent Pending) effectively meets the unique requirements of this application in an innovative way.

Once one sees Allbro’s new “Camera Nest,” it’s hard to still refer to it as just a camera box. One of the primary distinctions comes from how the installer interacts with the “box. ” A small mounting bracket can be easily attached using two screws.

The camera is secured to the “Camera Nest,” and the entire setup is then fixed to the bracket with a single screw. The open connection area on the side is designed for wiring and also for testing while the camera is attached. This setup has multiple benefits, with the main one being that a testing harness is available to align the camera while the leads are still accessible.

The Camera Nest is not constructed from plastic. Allbro uses GRP, a material they have relied on for 40 years. This resin-based fiberglass lasts for decades even under direct exposure, ensuring its durability through many generations of cameras. The enclosure meets an IP66 rating, meaning it effectively prevents dust and water penetration. The mounting method used ensures that this IP rating remains intact when screws are added. Allbro is confident that this concept is a groundbreaking innovation that will transform how cameras are installed forever.
