Warranty: Only a licensed Master electrician or competent electrical wireman who is registered with the Department of Labor may install batteries and inverters. After installation, an official electrical certificate of compliance (COC) must be given that is exclusive to the installation of the backup or solar system. The installation must adhere to every aspect of SANS 10142. A warranty claim may be denied if it is not accompanied by installation photos, a valid COC, and documentation that the device was installed by a licensed wireman or master electrician, making the claim invalid.
